Oops!

HomePort San Diego is unable to redirect you to the site you clicked on. This can occur for these reasons:
  • You're running a security or firewall application.
Norton Internet Security, Norton Personal Firewall, Zone Alarm Pro, Windows XP Internet Connection Firewall, WebWasher, and some ad and pop-up blocker software can cause this.

Fix: Either disable or reconfigure your software for this site. Allow it to pass browser referral information (HTTP_REFERER header). Instructions for doing this with Symantec products are here:

These sites should be added to your Norton Security Options:

For each, uncheck the "Use default settings" checkbox and choose "Permit" in the "Information about visited sites" section.

  • The link you clicked on was not within a HomePort page being viewed.
This can happen if you clicked on a link someone sent you in email or placed on another web site. It can also occur if you saved a bookmark, favorite, or shortcut to a HomePort redirection link.

Fix: View this page, and then click the link there:

    Explanation for the curious

HomePort San Diego uses the HTTP_REFERER header sent by your browser to verify that your request originated from this site and not from any other source. We have no interest in your surfing activities and do not use the HTTP_REFERER information for any other purpose.
